Eat Pray Love

I recently started reading the book Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I know it is about time, the movie is coming out in a couple of weeks! What can I say, I am a late bloomer!

Well, needless to say I am really enjoying the book. It is a great book for anyone who is confused as to where their life is leading them and needs a little push in the right direction.

I am not very far into the book and I won't share too much so not to ruin it for anyone wanting to read the book or watch the movie but there was a part that struck a cord with me. Elizabeth Gilbert wrote it best "The great Sufi poet and philosopher Rumi once advised his students to write down the three things they most wanted in life. If any item on the list clashes with any other item, Rumi warned, you are destined for unhappiness."

That's where I am, trying to figure out the 3 things I want most in life. That is my assignment for the weekend. So how about you? What are the 3 things you want most in life?

That's a tall order. My top two...

*I want to be satisfied & fulfilled: in work, parenting, marriage, friendship, spirituality...
*I want to always grow & stretch myself, even if in uncomfortable ways.

Hi there! I just found your blog and I am your newest follower!

I have to admit, I read this book when it first came out...and I didn't really like it! (Shhh!) It was entertaining and all, and I can't even recall what I disliked about it, but it didn't live up to the hype in my mind! I'm still looking forward to the movie though!
